Gerard Home for a visit

Things have moved pretty quickly and yes, Gerard came home today for the first time in just over 7 months!!! It may have only been for a couple of hours, but it was fantastic. Bacon, eggs, train smash and toasted Turkish bread were on the menu. Thanks to Luke, the OT at the Austin for making it happen (he had to come too J) We all had a very enjoyable afternoon… and now get to plan the next visit…maybe for Easter Sunday

Thanks to everyone who did the garden. Gerard loved the smell of the mulch and how great the mulch looked (and how few weeds there were). He was amazed at how much the trees had grown and said the house looked fantastic (it only got a quick vacuum and mop last night) and breakfast… was sensational as eggs and bacon don’t quite make the hospital menu JJJ
